Leafline Sanitary wear is a range of products for babies, women and all people with partial or complete incontinence. This environmentally friendly range is reusable as it is machine-washable and reusable for 6 months or more before wearing out. It is therefore not a daily or monthly disposal issue leading to landfill problems and pollution of the environment. Pulped plant leaf fibres making up parts of each item are fully biodegradable. The absorbent pulp is therefore a sustainable, renewable resource. Because the products can be reused there is no monthly expenditure on disposable nappies and pads, for both babies and adults alike. The disposable nappies and sanitary pads take 500 to 800 years to break down in the environment. When you consider that the average woman uses about 8000 sanitary pads or tampons in her lifetime, the use of reusable sanitary wear is a considerable saving to the environment and the pocket.
